Maria Tenje awarded by L’Oréal-UNESCO program

Maria Tenje from DTU Nanotech was one of three women in Denmark, who received the award: "Legaterne For Kvinder i Naturvidenskab", the Danish part of the international program: "L’ORÉAL-UNESCO For Women in Science".

The award was presented by Princess Marie, protector of the Danish UNESCO National Commission, on the January 28. It is presented to promising scientists, to support their research and to create awarness about the underrepresentation of women in the top levels of the academic hierarchy.

Maria Tenje is a researcher at DTU Nanotech, focusing on sensors. She receives the DKK 100.000 award along with Anja Pernille Einholm and Nini Skovgaard, both from Aarhus University.

The winners were selected by a jury consisting of:
