Nano students in Venture Cup final

Two students, from the University of Copenhagen and DTU, have been nominated for the Venture Cup 2010 final. Their product is a biosensor that can diagnose infection faster than before.

The company Heed Diagnostics consists of Jeppe Amossen from the University of Copenhagen Nano-Science Center, and Peter Paluszewski, DTU. Their goal is to commercialize a new platform technology for pathogen identification using enhanced electrochemical nucleic acid detection, that has the potential to cut lead times from days to hours.

Heed Diagnostics' biosensor is one of eight projects nominated in the category Life Science and Medtech. The final will be held at COBIS - Copenhagen Bioscience Park, on January 21.
