Carl Bildt met with nanoscientists in Lund
The Swedish minister for foreign affairs, Carl Bildt, visited Lund University last Monday to discuss nanoresearch and the innovation system.
The visit was Carl Bildts own initiative. He is interested in new technology and innovation, and has described nanoscience and nanotechnology as examples of excellent research, able to create new job opportunities.
In Lund, he met with professor Lars Samuelson, head of the Nanometer Structure Consortium at Lund University, Hans Henecke, president of Business Region Skåne, Hans Möller, president of Ideon Science Park and Ashkan Pouya, head of the Lund University Innovation System. The meeting included a presentation of LU spin-off company GLO.
