27-28 MARCH, HELSINGBORG

Label free nanosensors

19 May DTU Nanotech professor Anja Boisen chaired a Scandinavian workshop on label free nanosensors, organised by nanoDTU and Nano Connect Scandinavia.

Label free nanosensors have the potential to rapidly detect specific substances in low concentrations and with high sensitivity. The sensors can be miniaturized and parallelized. This workshop highlighted and discussed some of the most significant emerging sensor technologies and their applications.

The programme included the following talks:

  • Label free detection using miniaturized mechanical sensors by Anja Boisen (DTU Nanotech)
  • Nanoplasmonics for drug-screening applications by Fredrik Höök (Chalmers)
  • Exploiting arrays of nanowires for the development of novel membrane protein screening platforms in living cells by Karen Martinez (KU)
  • Cell morphology and chemotaxis with optical sensing by Tom Olesen (Unisensor)
  • Silicon Nanowires as lable free biosensor by Winnie Svendsen (DTU Nanotech)
  • Development of nanowire-based neural electrodes by Christelle Prinz (Lund University)
  • Detection of explosives using four independent sensor technologies by Michael Stenbæk Schmidt (DTU Nanotech)
  • Label free detection using electrochemical impedance measurement by Arto Heiskanen (DTU Nanotech)
