Rebecca Hollertz new project coordinator

Materials expert Rebecca Hollertz joins Nano Connect Scandinavia as project coordinator

Rebecca Hollertz will represent Lund University and Halmstad University, while Line Lundfald is on maternity leave. She received her MSc in Engineering Nanoscience, with a focus on nanomaterials, from Lund University in 2008.

Since the beginning of 2008 she has been living in Switzerland, working for ABB and most recently Empa (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology), developing polymer based nanocomposites for various applications.

At ABB she developed insulation materials for medium and high voltage applications. Her research at Empa focussed on graphene and CNT, where she worked with both academia and industry, aiming primarily at technology transfer. Her experience in material processing therefore stretches from characterisation and modification on the nanoscale to large scale production methods and mechanical and electrical characterisation of bulk materials and devices containing nanomaterials.
